In the grip of winter.

Well, I must say, inspiration strikes in the oddest places.....

  I've been really bummed, and miffed at my boss, for totally scrambling up a trip I've been hoping to take. My best friends live a few hours away, attending college, and my brother and I have been wanting to see them. I want this trip more than I've wanted anything in a long time.
  I approached my boss about giving me time off, not paid mind you, but just unscheduled, thinking it would be easy for him to do since hours are going to be down now that inventory is over. Well, I knew it wouldn't be until after inventory, which was on the 9th. Well, long story really short, my boss made his own decisions about how I should schedule MY LIFE (what little I have) and thought I should be happy about what he did. I couldn't take my trip, and ended up sitting at home for a week with little to do until going back to work today.

  Well, this is where the inspiration comes in. I had this idea today at work while loading bags of ice melt on a flat cart in the back warehouse.... And so, I wrote "Run With Me". Not even close to my best piece, and I'm not entirely thrilled with it, but I think it's a good concept at least.

  Basically, I decided it had been a while since my last journal, and sat down to let off the remnants of my steam about this fiasco. I'm not giving up on my trip, though my boss is talking APRIL... I refuse to be pushed around or give up. This means too much to me.
